School Creek Park provides campsites on the western shores of Milford Lake, near Junction City, Kansas. "Primitive camping with great fishing, a mid‐lake boat ramp access and a quiet rural setting. Go to sleep under a canopy of stars and wake up to a free concert of song birds. It doesn't get much better than this."
School Creek Park only primitive tent campsites. From April 15 through September 30, the cost is $8 per night, with vault toilets and drinking water.
From October 1 through April 14, the park provides free primitive tent camping, but no services..
Other campgrounds at Milford Lake include Curtis Creek Park, Farnum Creek Park, West Rolling Hills Park, Timber Creek Park, and Milford State Park. Some of these sites offer only pay camping, while others offer a mixture of pay and free tent camping opportunities.
Also be sure to check out the nearby Milford Lake Trails, which offer over 35 miles of trails open for hiking, backpacking and biking.
