The Lone Star Century is an annual ride organized by Cycling Kansas City. It begins in Gardner, threads through southern Johnson County and into Douglas County, to Clinton and Lone Star Lakes south of Lawrence. The ride ends back at Celebration Park in Gardner.
There are 28, 45, 64 or 100 mile options. The ride includes maps, mechanical support, and rest stops every 12-17 miles. Support will be available for riders needing assistance or unable to complete ride. A helmet required, and riders are encouraged to have a basic flat repair kit (tire irons, patch kit, spare tire tube), and to carry a water bottle. Includes lunch at the end of the ride.
