Cycling Kansas City is the Kansas City metro's premier bike club. They support great rides and great advocacy, wellness and safety for people on bikes. Their mission is to act as a unifying influence supporting and promoting bicycle activities for the Kansas City Metropolitan area byproviding bicycle education for riders and ride leaders, supporting bicycle advocacy, sponsoring or participating in national and international amateur bicycle sports competitions, promoting bicycle safety for all ages, and promoting bicycle transportation.
Cycling Kansas City was previously known as the "Kansas City Metro Bicycle Club", and was created in 2012 by combining the "Johnson County Bicycle Club" and the "Kansas City Bicycle Club". Cycling Kansas City serves both sides of the state line.
The club offers a full schedule of weekly and monthly local rides throughout the year (see their ride calendar), as well as a number of annual events including the President's Ride, the Lone Star Century, the Cider Mill Century, the City of Fountains Tour, the Summer Breeze, and the Northland Nightmare.
