Glen Elder State Park is located near Glen Elder, Kansas, along the shores of Glen Elder Reservoir (Waconda Lake), one of the largest lakes in the state of Kansas, with over 12,500 acres of surface water. The state park is located along the north shore of the lake.
Glen Elder State Park offers over 300 primitive camping sites, with nearby shower and toilet facilities. Fires are allowed only in designated fire rings. A full-service marina can provide necessary food and supplies. Campsite cost starts at $8/night.
In addition to the campsites available at Glen Elder State Park, the nearby Glen Elder Wildlife Area provides numerous free primitive camping areas for tents only.
