The Alfalfa Bill Century Bike Ride offers some great rides in the beautiful country in and around Tishomingo, Oklahoma. They are not the biggest but they sure put on a good bike ride. Riders come from Arkansas, Texas, and all over Oklahoma just to ride this century. There are four routes to choose from
Ten Mile Fun Ride - This beautiful, scenic ride is on a level, extra-smooth blacktop, tree-lined road out to the Tishomingo National Wildlife Refuge and back.
Thirty Mile Ride - This ride provides a great variety of scenery for a relatively short ride, including rolling hills, the Tishomingo Wildlife Refuge, and the historic Twelve-Mile Prairie.
Forty-Six Mile Ride - This ride has some beautiful vistas, including Fort Washita, Teller Mountain, the bottomlands of the Washita River, and the Tishomingo Wildlife Refuge
The Century Ride - The century route like a butterfly or a bowtie, with the first leg covering the 46-mile route, then you'll cross the broad Washita River valley, including the communities of Baum, Dickson, Mannsville, Russett, and Ravia.
All four rides are on paved, rural, lightly traveled roads. As always, their famous homemade Alfalfa Bill "power" cookies will be served at all the rest stops along with fruit, water, and pickles. If you have never tasted these "alfalfa bill" ride cookies you don't know how good a cookie can taste, or how much fun a bicycle ride can be.
