Take a Ride on the Wild Side

Take a Ride on the Wild Side is an annual non-competitive bike ride that loops around Kirwin National Wildlife Refuge in Kirwin, KS. The ride begins at the community building in the town of Kirwin. There are two well-planned routes to choose from: a family friendly or beginners 6-mile loop or an experienced rider’s 31-mile loop all around the reservoir. Sights on both rides will include wildlife, birds, trees, prairie, wildflowers, and the reservoir. The terrain consists of chalk roads, dirt roads and 4 miles of highway (on the longer route) and includes hills and winding roads.
