The Sooner Stampede is an annual mountain bike race that takes place at Lake Thunderbird State Park in Norman, Oklahoma. It is sponsored by the Bicycle League of Norman.
The event offers races in categories from beginners to experts, with distances varying from 12 to 24 miles, and all age ranges from Juniors to Masters. There is also a free kids race for kids in three different age groups.
The race course is a lap of approximately 12.1 miles consisting of 90% single track. There are numerous short climbs and fast flowing sections. All registrants must sign a USAC Standard Athletes Release Form to race.
The Sooner Stampede is part of the Tour de Dirt mountain bike series.
