The SPECS Wichita Riverfest Criterium Race takes place in Wichita, Kansas. This is the third event in three days of racing in South Central Kansas. Cyclists from all over the Midwest will showcase their skill and fitness in downtown Wichita. The race begins and ends at 255 W 1st Street North in Wichita.
Riverfest revelers will again enjoy watching criterium bicycle racing at its best, in a fast-paced cycling event commonly known as NASCAR on two wheels. The Wichita city streets will host some elbow-to-elbow racing at speeds approaching 40mph. The course is a technical, 1.2 mile lap winding in and around downtown Wichita and sweeping along the east bank of the Arkansas River.
Cyclists of all levels will compete in the events, which include a hand cycling event and a Kiddy Race.This race is part of the 2013 KCA KBAR/KBAT Series.Individual and team points will be awarded towards the KBAR/KBAT & Keen Wealth Cup Championships.
