NUMB (the Nebraska United Methodist Bike Ride for Hunger) is an annual bicycle loop tour that covers approximately 245 miles over 4 days. NUMB benefits the hungry in Nebraska and around the world and is sponsored by the Nebraska Annual Conference Board of Mission Outreach Hunger Committee. Proceeds from the event go to food banks in Omaha and Lincoln, as well as Bread for the World and two international hunger projects, The Heifer Project and Nigerian Agriculture Assistance.
NUMB is open to all interested cyclists. You do not have to be United Methodist to participate in NUMB. The ride is limited to the first 135 riders, and participants pay a registration fee that covers the event expenses and must also secure a minimum of $100 pledged to United Methodist Hunger programs.
SAG support is provided along the route, as well as gear transport and showers and camping facilities in each host community.
