Mowbray Metric

The Mowbray Metric Weekend is an annual celebration of cycling put on by the McPherson Area Cyclist. Three rides that take place over two days each July in McPherson and Lindsborg, KS and features fun bicycle rides for the entire family.

Saturday starts off with a 32 mile Short Stack Breakfast road ride. This is a free ride but remember to bring a little cash to pay for your breakfast. Saturday morning features our 5th Annual Storm the Castle Gravel Ride. This year we’re starting in Lindsborg followed by 50 miles of sweet, hilly gravel between you and that final climb up Coronado Heights for a light lunch. Sunday morning brings the event that started it all The Mowbray Metric. This road ride offers distances of 20, 40 and 62 miles with SAG support provided by local groups the McPherson Amateur Radio Club. An inviting lunch in air conditioning awaits the riders when they return. This is a fun ride and not a race.

A bicycling tradition in McPherson area since 1980, this event gives local and out-of-town cycling enthusiasts two great days of riding, and funds raised benefit local cycling infrastructure and advocacy work. Registration is available at https://www.bikereg.com/mowbray-metric-stc
