The Miami County Bicycle Safety Rodeo is an annual event that takes place in Paola, Kansas. The rodeo teaches basic bicycle safety techniques, such as balance and steering coordination, braking, speed control and the importance of proper bicycle equipment.
Local children age 12 and under are invited to bring their bicycles for a safety check, and all children from Miami County who participate will be eligible to receive a free helmet. A drawing for two free bicycles (one boy's and one girl's) is held following the event.
The Miami County Bicycle Safety Rodeo takes place at the Miami County Medical Center, 2100 Baptiste Drive in Paola, from 9am to noon.
