The KC Cup Cross Country Race and Festival is held at Swope Park in Kansas City, Missouri and consists of a two-day festival of mountain biking, with race classes for everyone from beginners to experts, ranging in ages from kids to seniors.
The race will start at the top of the hill at the DIning Hall. You will start out on doubletrack and paved road which will eventually drop you into to the singletrack trails near the Rocky Top Shelter. You'll then proceed clockwise towards 8 Pins, a rocky and rooty technical area followed by a recovery downhill followed by a hard 180 degree turn which will dump you into Wudchuk Run. Wudchuk Run will take you along the lower face of some supa-sweet rock outcroppings for about 1 mile then you'll have a quick climb followed by a high speed rippin' decent. You'll then finish off the lap with a leg searing climb back to the event site. Course length will be approx. 5 miles. Several pre-race laps are highly recommended.
