The Eureka Springs Fat Tire Festival is a three-day celebration of mountain biking in the historic town of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, known as the "Little Switzerland of the Ozarks" for the steep hills and winding roads of this Northwestern Arkansas community.
The festival kicks off on Friday Short Track race at Harmon Park. Saturday morning the "Burnin' Fat Downhill" race is run at Lake Leatherwood, followed by the Super Fat Tire Observed Trials in the afternoon, then the Fatty Film Fest take place in the evening at the City Auditorium. Sunday, the "Race to the Lake" starts in downtown Eureka and gives you three miles of all-out chaotic punishment through streets, alleys, and hidden trails, pounding through steep elevation gains and losses that test even the finest hearts and lungs. Finally, the children's race takes place, then the weekend is rounded out with live music, free food & drinks, cool water, and loads of prizes.
Through the course of the weekend, the festival will offer all the exciting and challenging racing you can handle, and the unparalleled hospitality and bountiful amounts of food and drink will keep everyone Fat and begging for more.
