The Cathedral Gran Fondo is a recreational ride that takes place in Kansas City, Kansas to raise money for FreeWheels for Kids, a nonprofit that empowers at-risk kids with cycling. The Gran Fondo is held in conjunction with the Cathedral Criterium races.

Gran Fondos are timed, non-competitive events. The Cathedral Gran Fondo will have I 0, 30 and 50 mile routes. All routes begin and end at Waterway Park. There will be no SAG stops, no orange slices, no M&Ms in Dixie cups, and no broom wagon. All riders are expected to follow traffic laws, act courteously to other road users and generally not be a jerk. You are responsible for your safety, not the rider in front of you, the organizers, the police or your school crossing guards.
