The Bishop's Bicycle Challenge is an annual fundraising bicycle ride in Wichita, Kansas to benefit the United Methodist Open Door, a Wichita agency offering food/clothing/shelter for those in need. Here's a message from Bishop Scott Jones:
"For hundreds of years United Methodists have cared about living healthy lifestyles and helping the poor. This a chance to combine both of these activities. I'll be riding that day with as many sponsors as I can find. For weeks in advance of the ride I will be "in training" to be able to cross the finish line. Join me and many others in a great activity for a great cause."
The start and finish will be at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 7901 W 21st Street. Registration will open at 6 am, and the rides will start at 7 am. The 20 mile, 50K, and 100K routes will take riders where the open road awaits. Riders registered before May 29th will get a free t-shirt and water bottle. Registration fee is: $55.00 ($15 for registration and a $40 donation to Open Door). Additional donations welcome. We encourage riders to register on-line. Follow the link below.
