Posted on January 10, 2014 | 2 CommentsIn the late 1970s, Kansas rail-trail pioneers envisioned a route between Leavenworth and Lawrence, on an abandoned Union Pacific Railroad line. Sadly, it was not meant to be, but it laid the groundwork for today's growing rail-trail network.
