The Prairie Spirit Trail is celebrating it’s 15th anniversary with a Birthday Bash on March 30th in Garnett, Kansas:

Prairie Spirit TrailOpened March 30, 1996, the Prairie Spirit Trail turns 15 years old in 2011. With the state of Kansas and the city of Garnett turning 150, the Friends are circling the wagons and making plans for their best celebration yet.

Tickets to the 15th Annual Trail “Birthday Bash” will go on sale on February 9th at the Chocolate Night meeting and then be available at Garnett City Hall and Archer Insurance. Dinner tickets are $7. Tickets will also be available at the door. The event will be held at the Community Building in Garnett’s North Lake Park. A silent auction will begin at 6 pm with dinner to follow at 6:30 pm.

Once again the Friends of the Prairie Spirit Trail are looking for nice and unique silent auction donations. Proceeds help the group with trail enhancement projects. If you would like to donate please contact Pat Mosher, (785) 448-6799 or Glenn Hastert, 448-1622.
