Each year, the Kansas Cycling Association holds a series of State Championship events in locations around the state in various cycling disciplines.
The 2009 edition of the Kansas Cycling Association State Championships began this weekend in southeast Kansas, with the Category Road Race Championship taking place in Arma on June 6, and the Category Criterium Championship in Pittsburg on June 7. Races continue throughout the summer and on into late autumn.

In addition to all of the individual championships, the Kansas Cycling Association will award a Best All-round Rider (BAR or Omnium) title to the racer accruing the highest points total in each category and age group. BAR champions will be featured on the KCA’s soon-to-be-debuted Hall of Champions.
