On Tuesday, November 6, 2012, a bicyclist died after being struck by a motor vehicle in Kansas City, Kansas.
According to the Kansas City Star:
A bicyclist died this afternoon after he was involved in a traffic collision with a vehicle in Kansas City, Kan.
Police said the crash occurred at 2 p.m. Tuesday at 48th Street and Shawnee Drive. Westbound lanes of Shawnee Drive were closed in the area while police investigate.
The victim, a 48-year-old man, was taken by ambulance to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department’s Traffic Support Unit-Critical Collision Response Team is investigating. No further details are available yet, and police have not yet released the name of the bicyclist or driver.
