The 2009 edition of the Diamond Blackfan Cyclocross Challenge cyclocross races take place September 27th in Lenexa, Kansas.
This is the first event in the De Stad Cyclocross Van Kansas Series presented by Paceline Products, which will feature five cyclocross races in the 2009 season.
This fun-filled, action-packed cycling race will benefit the Diamond Blackfan Anemia Foundation in honor of 5-year-old Lenexa resident, Amelia Lamb. Diamond Blackfan Anemia is a very rare blood disorder that affects less than 1,000 people in the United States. Unlike most diseases, Diamond Blackfan Anemia is so rare that it receives only limited government funding. Families of its victims have stepped up to raise funds to find better treatments and cures. All donations go straight to medical research.
