Local (Kansas City) rider Chris Wallace will be heading back to Europe to contest the World Junior Cyclocross Championship. His teammates at KCCX/VERGE are throwing a fundraising party:
“In an effort to help with the travel expenses we ask the cycling community to pitch in to help a local rider make a dream come true. Donations can be made online or join us on Tuesday, January 20th at the Trek Store of Kansas City. The festivities will begin at 7:00 P.M. and end at 9:00 P.M. We will have some tasty Famous Dave’s BBQ and Boulevard Beer. All proceeds will go directly to the travel fund. We hope to see you at the Trek Store of Kansas City. Thank you for supporting the KCCX/VERGE Elite Cycling Team.”
Chris will also have some fans at Hoogerheide cheering him on. Several area riders will race the World Masters Cyclocross Championships then hop on a train to the Netherlands to see Chris. You too can wear Chris Wallace Supporter Gear with pride; $5 from each item goes to his fund.
